1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ColdCall ("the Service"), operated by LoomaLabs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including those accessing the Service as guests or registered users.
2. Description of Service
ColdCall is an AI-powered study platform designed to help Filipino law students prepare for recitation, bar examinations, and other academic assessments. The Service provides the following features:
- Case Digest Generation — Upload a legal case document (PDF or text) or search by citation to receive an AI-generated case digest organized into structured sections (Facts, Issues, Ruling, and more).
- Flashcards — Automatically generated study cards derived from your case digest, designed for active recall practice.
- Quiz Mode — Multiple-choice questions generated from your case content to test comprehension and retention.
- Cold Call Simulation — A simulated recitation experience where you are asked questions about a case and receive AI-evaluated feedback on your answers.
- Codals Browser — A reference tool providing access to the text of major Philippine legal codes, including the Civil Code, Revised Penal Code, Family Code, Labor Code, Tax Code (NIRC), and the 1987 Philippine Constitution, for educational and study purposes.
- Notes — A personal note-taking feature linked to individual cases for capturing your own annotations and observations.
- Bala System — A study activity tracker that awards points for completing study activities to encourage consistent practice.
ColdCall is continuously evolving. Features may be added, modified, or removed at any time. We will endeavor to communicate significant changes to users where practicable.
3. Google Sign-In Requirement
Access to ColdCall requires signing in with a valid Google account. We use Google Sign-In as the exclusive authentication method because ColdCall operates in close integration with Google's ecosystem of services — core features of the platform are powered by Google's infrastructure. This integration allows us to deliver a more reliable, secure, and seamless experience.
By signing in with Google, you authorize ColdCall to access your basic Google profile information (name, email address, and profile picture) as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not access any other Google services, files, or data beyond what is required for authentication and account creation.
You represent that you are authorized to use the Google account you sign in with and that the information associated with that account is accurate. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. ColdCall is not responsible for any unauthorized access resulting from a compromised Google account.
4. User Responsibilities
By using ColdCall, you agree to the following:
- You are solely responsible for the content you upload to the Service, including any case documents, text, or other materials.
- You agree not to upload content that you do not have the right to use, or that infringes on any third-party copyright, intellectual property, or privacy rights.
- You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal, and educational purposes. The Service is not intended for commercial resale, bulk data extraction, or any purpose other than your own study.
- You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, copy, redistribute, or otherwise abuse the platform, its content, or its underlying systems.
- You agree not to interfere with or disrupt the integrity, performance, or availability of the Service or the data of other users.
- You agree not to use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service without prior written permission from LoomaLabs.
5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
All digests, flashcards, quiz questions, Cold Call prompts, and other study materials produced by ColdCall are generated by artificial intelligence and are provided for educational and study purposes only.
AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, mischaracterizations, or inaccuracies. The quality and completeness of the output depends on the quality of the source material you provide. ColdCall does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, currency, or reliability of any AI-generated output.
ColdCall is not a substitute for professional legal advice, legal research, or independent case analysis. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice, legal opinion, or establishes an attorney-client relationship. Always verify case holdings against authoritative legal sources and consult a qualified attorney for any legal matter.
You acknowledge that reliance on AI-generated study materials for any academic assessment, examination, or professional purpose is at your own risk.
6. Intellectual Property
The ColdCall platform — including its design, interface, code, branding, and original content — is the intellectual property of LoomaLabs. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the platform without prior written permission from LoomaLabs.
You retain ownership of the case content and documents you upload. By uploading content, you grant LoomaLabs a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process that content through AI services solely for the purpose of generating your requested study materials. This license does not extend to any other commercial use of your content.
7. Third-Party Legal Content — Codals
The legal texts displayed in the Codals Browser (Civil Code, Revised Penal Code, Family Code, Labor Code, Tax Code / NIRC, and the 1987 Philippine Constitution) are sourced from The LawPhil Project, maintained by the Arellano Law Foundation (lawphil.net). Full credit for the compilation and presentation of these texts belongs to the Arellano Law Foundation.
Philippine statutes, codes, and the Constitution are official government issuances and are in the public domain. Their reproduction for educational purposes is permitted under Philippine law.
The Codals Browser is provided strictly for educational reference. ColdCall does not guarantee that the codal texts are current, complete, or inclusive of the latest amendments. Users should always verify provisions against official government sources (e.g., the Official Gazette at officialgazette.gov.ph, the Senate of the Philippines, or the Supreme Court E-Library) for any legal, academic, or professional purpose.
8. Bala System
The Bala score is a gamification feature that tracks your study activity on the platform. Points are awarded for completing study activities such as generating a digest, finishing a quiz, or completing a Cold Call session. Bala points have no monetary value, cannot be transferred to another account, and are not redeemable for any goods, services, or benefits outside the platform. LoomaLabs reserves the right to adjust, reset, or modify the Bala system at any time without prior notice.
9. Service Availability
We strive to keep ColdCall available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, unplanned outages, updates, or factors outside our control (including third-party infrastructure availability). We are not liable for any disruption, loss of data, or inconvenience resulting from downtime or service interruptions.
10. Usage Limits
To ensure fair access and sustainable operation of the platform, certain features may be subject to daily or periodic usage limits. These limits apply to AI-powered features such as digest generation, as these involve computational costs. You will be informed within the platform when a limit has been reached.
LoomaLabs reserves the right to adjust usage limits at any time. Attempts to circumvent usage limits through any technical means are a violation of these Terms and may result in account suspension.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LoomaLabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to: academic outcomes or examination results, reliance on AI-generated content, loss of data, or any errors or omissions in study materials. Your use of ColdCall is at your sole risk.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to ColdCall at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or that we determine to be harmful to other users, the platform, or LoomaLabs. You may stop using the Service at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us as described in Section 14.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically to stay informed of any updates.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate courts of the Philippines.
15. Contact
